| Learning Plus Program |
The Learning Plus Program is an extensive after school activity program offered to the ISC community and also to the general community of Curacao. Activities offered through Learning Plus are varied and include art, drama, music, languages, information technology and numerous sports activities. During the past school years more than 25 different activities have been offered and over 150 participants have been involved in one or more activities. Students played basketball, volleyball, and chess; took ballet, jazz, swimming, karate, and cooking classes; made different crafts, and learned how to draw and play the guitar. Classes have also been offered for adults, e.g. art, dance, cooking, Dutch, English, Papiamento and computer classes.
The instructors of these activities can be teachers, parents, High School students, or other people from the community. The Learning Plus program offers activities in two blocks of ten weeks in a school year.
At the beginning of each school year a Learning Plus brochure is produced by the Learning Plus Coordinator and distributed to the ISC students and parents. The brochure gives information about the following:
• Activities
• Duration of classes
• Instructors
• Age range of participants
• Fees
• Registration procedure
• Running dates
• Refunds
